What is difference Between JPG image and PNG photo

Whenever we try to use an image, there are many type of images but main formats we notice are JPG and PNG. Both type have different behavior. There are some difference between both. We are trying to list some as below:

• PNG supports transparent background while JPG images doesn't support images having partly or full transparent background.
  
  

• Full form of JPG is Joint Photographic Experts Group, while full form of PNG is Portable Network Graphics

• JPG is to be believed to have “lossy” compression v/s non PNG is with "non loosy" format.

• the biggest difference is JPG is lower in quality than PNG format images.
